Our new dog

This chap arrived on Sunday he is a 7 year old Golden Retriever and we have kindly been allowed to become his new owners by Sally, Lorraine and Andy from www.irishretrieverrescue.com.

Much to our relief he has settled remarkably well, which we believe to be down to the efforts of his previous foster homes and credit should be given to them.

You can find his profile on www.irishretreiverrescue.com website but briefly his history is that he was given up for re-homing a few months ago when his owners were moving house he was over weight and very unfit due to lack of exercise. It also transpired that he had a throat problem. He went into foster care and with one thing and another had a few moves between foster homes his last one being Sally who he has been with for 10 weeks. His main thing is separation anxiety. When we enquired about him initially Lorraine told us he had some peculiar habits. He is absolutely charming, handsome, well behaved, polite, and ........ well lets call it quirky.

I will start from Sunday the day he arrived.......
