The Snow

Well turns out Cyril just loves the snow, every morning while the snow was here it took me about 20 minutes to get him back in every time. Every time I went to the door he just barked like a lunatic jumped around and rolled in the snow making dog angels, virtually anything to try and get me to go out and play.

Anyone who has taken Cyril for a walk knows that on walks he kind of trots about. Not in the snow he bounded everywhere like he was a puppy only stopping to push himself along with his back legs with his face in the snow like a dog plough .......

and considering he hates having a bath and isn't too keen on being hosed either he is more than happy to wallow in the soggiest, muddiest puddles he can find so he had just as much fun once the snow started to thaw.

He is doing fantastically with his separation anxiety and as long as you follow the same drill when going out, we can leave him for 4 1/2 hours. He has even coped with 5 but we don't do either regularly or often. He will still window lick occasionally but I think this is just his thing. It no longer seems to be associated with stress and he doesn't get himself in a state when he does it. It's almost. Hey did you forget me? I'm over here look and I'm licking the windows!

He's almost a normal dog.....well normal for Cyril.

Isn't he just gorgeous!
