Little Breakthroughs Keep a Coming.

Cyril's separation anxiety improves every day but this weekend he had another little break through. On Saturday we went to a friends house, they have two dogs one labrador and a collie mix up.
Cyril told the Collie off once at the beginning of there relationship when he didn't know how to play. Well he knows how to play now and he try's desperately to get her to join in but all attempts she now greets with her best aloofness. Its quite amusing to see.
Anyway, we go there regularly and although he settles really well, if he hears me go out of the gate or if I try to leave him in the house he gets very worried. W
ell over the last couple of weeks he has been taking some direction from my friend Suzie and staying with her if I go off for a few minutes rather than following me, which is a real break through for Cyril as so far the only people he is happy to do that with are my Mom and Dad.
So this week I had to go in the house and leave Cyril with Suzie and the dogs in the kitchen, we waited cloths poised in case he glued his tongue to her doors and ...............not a peep, not a pant, not a wimper. Apparently at one point all three of them were spark out on the patio. Even when Suzie left him to go upstairs he didn't murmur. When I came out again half an hour later he had been asleep quite calmly outside and not a worry in his h
ead!

I think he is finally turning his own corner and he will be that relaxed couch potato I think we all new he was underneath that very worried exterior.

I'm really quite proud of him and so very grateful to his rescuers and all his fosterers before he came to us for not giving up on him. I'm hoping that they might allow us to return the favour.
