Mini breakthrough

I think we had a mini break through today. I have at a moments notice been grabbing my van keys and going out, no shutting doors, no locking him in a room just leaving him where ever he happens to be lying and going out. Its just a thought I had, if I put him in the kitchen I'm preparing him for a panic so I thought I would give it a try.

The first time today, when I came back, he was still where I had left him asleep on the landing, the next time he did get up and follow me to the door but when I came back... no dribble! The next couple of times he was wise to me and there was a minimal amount of dribble so I'm hoping this is a step in the right direction!!!

However.....the only way I can do this is to go out...I cant just hide....I cant pretend.. I really have to go out. I hadn't really thought about it until today when the guy that lives over the road happened to have the day off and was home all day.

What would you think, the woman that lives over the road, every hour or so, comes out of the house, gets in her van, moves it up the street a few yards and sits there for ten minutes then reverses back again and goes back into the house.

Oh my word. Let's just hope he didn't notice.

and I was thinking...what might I have said, by way of explanation, had I have had the opportunity?
